K'row was an orphan of the war with Garlemald since age 10; having lost her parents, she grew up as a street urchin panhandling for Gil. For six years, she fended for herself by lying and stealing everything she could get her hands on.At 16, she tried pickpocketing a Viera man she saw browsing the goods in the local market. He caught her just as she was pulling his coin purse loose from his belt, but instead of being angry and turning her into the guards like she had thought. He had a proposition for her. Work with him in the wandering caravan of performers he lived with.She was accepted into the caravan, and the Viera, Mori, whom she had tried to steal from, claimed her as his adoptive sister. While living with the caravan, she learned the art of dancing and how to read tarot cards or fake a palm reading.After two years of being kept under the wing of her adoptive brother, he left the caravan to venture on his own. With no one to help keep a watchful eye over K'row, the matron of the troupe was quick to strike. Using the Miqo'te's body and good looks to draw in more customers for dance performances and fortune readings.This was the story for the next seven years while K'row saved and scrounged what tips she could in order to pay off her debts to the troupe and set off to make a name for herself. So, with little money to her name and the clothing on her back, she left the group she had come to know and love.In her years away, she has started making a name for herself, or rather a pen name for herself, under Kat K'rowson. A moniker that she uses to write romance novels, using them to fulfill her desire to have someone special in her own life. While out by herself, she began exchanging letters with her adoptive brother, keeping each other up to speed on everything that had happened.

K'row is an enigma regarding how she acts around other people. To some people, she comes off a little too strongly, while to others, she is very standoffish, almost to the point of being seen as rude. While she enjoys getting to know people and making friends, she is actually a giant introvert and somewhat shy, masking it with a smile. She can force herself to appear pleasant and joyful if the time calls for it or if she is around someone she trusts or is close to her. She is happiest when tucked away with a good book and a warm cup of tea.A secret that she holds, is that deep down, she is a hopeless romantic at heart. She hopes that one day she can have the happy ending she writes about under her pen name.
